Movement is a crucial thing in Roblox Rivals. It is, in fact, more important than aim. This is because if you have good aim but bad movement, you can probably get beaten fairly easily, since it is hard to track fast moving objects. But if you can master movement, you'd be the one that's hard to track, so even if you're bad at aiming, you can just chip away their health. If you have good movement with good aim, you're gonna be unbeatable. Well, unless the other player is better at aiming or movement. There are different kinds of movement, depending on the weapon. There's movement for sniper, there's movement for AR, there's movement for knife. We'll get into those specifically a bit later.
This is a section for people who don't know movement at all. If you already know the basics such as slide jumping or double jumping, move on to the next section. Roblox Rivals has many basic movement techs, such as slide jumping. Slide jumping is when you slide, then immediately jump. This allows speed to build up, but it doesn't slow you down or anything like just sliding does. For mobile, you can just hit the slide button twice fast. For PC or console players, you just press the slide button (Default to c and ctrl) and immediately press the jump button (Default to space). Another basic movement tech is double jumping. Double-jumping is just what it sounds like, you jump twice, even if you didn't touch the floor. This only works on these following weapons: Bow, Dagger, and fists. You can use these double jumps to either stay in the air longer or for fast movement on the jump pad, which I'll talk about more later. The last basic movement tech is grenade jumping (Nade jumping for short). Grenade jumping is when you hold the grenade throw button, and when it comes to you, you slide jump into it. Then the grenade will boost you forward, letting you fly through the air. The good thing about this is that the grenade is free unlike other explosive or movement weapons. You can also do a RPG/Grenade launcher boost, which is the grenade boost but you fire the RPG or Grenade Launcher down while slide jumping.
Now we're gonna move onto general advanced movement, such as using the jump pad, satchels, war horn, and more. First of all is the jump pad. The jump pad can be abtained in the lobby and a few maps. You can use the jump pad to, well, jump, but that's not the ideal way to use the jump pad. On maps where there is a wall in front of a ramp, you can put the jump pad on the wall and bounce into the jump pad. Then it will boost you forward, letting you glide up the ramp, and you will go super fast. This is where you can make the double jumps come in handy and jump to change direction without bleeding speed. Then comes the satchels. This is basically the grenade, but you have three of them and choose when you explode it. You can do a satchel jump just like a nade jump. You throw down the satchels, slide jump over it, and then click the detonate button. This makes the satchel's explosion fling you into the air. Then you could use double jumps to change directions without loosing all your speed. Lastly is the war horn. The war horn makes your walking/running speed faster for a couple of seconds. Even if it seems like a little change, it actually makes a pretty big change. It lets you ramp glide without a jump pad and still be pretty fast. You can do this by slide jumping around 1 stud/block before the ramp. Then you will glide up. Extra: If you are having trouble with nade jumps because when you do it, it takes a long time for the weapon to load so you can't shoot while you're still in the air, you can do the advanced version of the nade jump, or the nade jump v2. How you do it is on the Arena map, as soon as the round starts, you throw the grenade a couple studs above the top of the ramp, Then you slide jump up, and since the grenade has a timed explosion, it will blast you from behind, but you will already have the weapon out so you can shoot right away without the loading animation.
